Certified includes the warranty....huh?.. Sounds goofy that they should "Certify" the car and not include the warranty. The 6 year 100,000 mile warranty is what makes it a Certified Saab. Did they mean to say that it was inspected and reconditioned to Certified standards? Are they advertising and marketing these cars as Certified and then stating a charge for the warranty? That would be somewhat fraudulent.
If that's the case how much do they want for the factory 6 year 100,000 mile zero deductible, bumper to bumper warranty? It's a darn good warranty, backed by Saab and good at any Saab dealer with a zero deductible and roadside assistance included for the whole term. The only exception the warranty makes is for the audio equipment, other than that it's bumper to bumper. And a factory warranty gives the service advisor the leeway to authorize a rental or loaner sometimes too for unplanned warranty visits.
A GM Protection plan with similar coverage is $3,000+ or $2,500 with a $100 deductible. I believe that Saab factory Certified warranty all by itself is about half of that. It's an excellent bargain because the Certified standards are so high, including cosmetics.
