78,000 miles - what to expect next

I have a '99 9-5. The 4cy turbo
My brakes were squeaking a bit, so I had it checked out quickly at one of the major places where you can just drive in.
I had a brake job done on the back brakes in June.
They checked the front and said the pads looked great, but the rotors were not the correct size and beyond needing to be machined. I need new rotors, so a complete brake job on the front.
He said I'd also need a new exhaust in the next few months.
I've had a few problems with the car and have had them fixed as they come up. But, I will no longer have a job at the end of the year and am getting ready to go into a new career where I will make about half what I was making. So repair costs to keep the car are a current issue on my mind.
I was told by the shop that neither the brakes or the exhaust need to be fixed ASAP, but likely by the end of the year. I'll call my mechanic on Monday to make an apt for him to check it out.
So, what I'm looking for is an idea of what other things I should be expecting as far as normal repairs in the next 20,000 miles or so (ie. should I fix the current problems and I should be set to go for a while or am I just hitting the milage where I'm going to be spending lots of money for a while?)
