Wo Nelly...you just compared apples to oranges...Saab vs. Galant? My friend has '96 Civic with 120,000 miles, only maintenance he did was spark plug change by himself at 40,000 mi, oil change every 3,000 mi, put gas and just drove...no other maintenance cost..but like I said, you can't compare apples to oranges.
You have to compare 9-5 with it's competitors...e.g. Infiniti I30(aka Maxima), Lexus ES300 (aka Camry) and Acura TL(aka Accord).
Here's a formula:
Saab 9-5 = high performance + unique + low resale value
Competitors above = high reliability + bland + high resale value
And I'm planning on driving my 9-5 until the last wheel falls off.
'99 9-5 75,000 mi.
