Congrats on your purchase from a fellow Upstate NY'er and RIT grad...
I can take a few of these I think...
1) Yes you can... They need to be ordered from a dealer and they aren't cheap since it involves re-programming/mating the keys to the car and cutting the keys... Probably not worth it IMHO but if it really bothers you... you may find some blanks on eBay but I have yet to see a set in my travels.
2) You can switch to manual tune by pressing and holding the seek up/down button. You will see an M appear on the SID... then just use the seek up/down button to tune... same applies for the buttons on the steering wheel.
3) That's your safety kit in case you get caught in the breakdown lane.
4) Yes... SAABs are born in the snow. =) I love mine in the winter. It will behave better - especially with TCS and ABS if you put a set of snow tires on it but I grew up in Upstate NY so I don't go that route with mine and manage to get around just fine. Of course, I am sensible when the weather is bad and don't get crazy - like heading to Buffalo during lake effect warnings, etc... :-) If you purchased the Aero and/or do a lot of winter driving regardless of weather its probably worth purchasing a set of steel wheels/alloy rims and Hakkas from http://www.tirerack.com for the winter months. The Linear or Arc would be up for debate depending on what your requirements are.
5) Can't help you on this one... I've used both as power points in the past but I'm not a smoker so I don't know if they double as cigarette lighters.
6) Not sure... don't use this often.
7) Mine are pretty stiff... but again, I don't use them much.
8) Not sure about this one... My dealer will schedule a loaner car for any service - regardless of where the car was purchased or whether it is under warranty... they gave me a new '04 9-3 convertible last time I was in but I think I may be one of the lucky ones. =)
9) Yes... the 9-5s are consistently rated very high on the safety scale.
10) Again, this depends on which 9-5 you purchased... If you purchased the Linear, mid-grade gas is okay but several folks on here - including myself will tell you that if you purchased a car like that, a few extra cents for premium is worth it. I run premium in mine. If you purchased the Aero, premium is required.
11) If you put the car in reverse and press that button, the passenger side mirror will tip out and down so you can see the curb when you're parallel parking. =) Yes, its a cool feature... and will help to save the rims.
Enjoy and congrats on the purchase!
Feel free to e-mail if you have any further questions.
