Had the same problem. My 2001 Aero seats are well conditioned and garage kept, so when this appeared at 20K miles i was very disappointed. Further, I am average sized guy so there should not have been any excess stress on the seat.
Amazingly the dealer sent it off and had the piece replaced. I'm sure this was a fairly expensive fix since they must remove the old and sew in the new piece. Anyway I was very pleased, but don't assume they'll do it on the next piece. I believe they only need to replace wear items up to 15K although I think you can make the case that it is wearing out faster than it should.
My dealer is Sewell in Dallas. They are pretty great most of the time.
