2001 Aero Wagon 5speed, MSRP ~$44k Invoice ~$41k Bought for $36K in feb
4k on the clock, 5 months in service time, totally clean, BBS wheels uncurbed, new car smell intact etc. Best bit was the dealer got us the 5.9% apr financing too this saves maybe 2k over a 5 year loan period compared to normal used car rates, in fact we got a letter from saab saying our car was new not used as the dealer sales invoice said??
These 'executive owned' cars come along all the time, the folks at Norcross seem to keep a pipeline of cars with some executives getting up to 3 cars (presumably one for them, one for spouse and a convertible for weekends), and after 4-5 months thay get private auctioned to selected (top selling) saab dealers. This is another way apart from the subsidized lease deals that saab keeps its sales up, both practices are both the cause of and to some extent the solution to the poor saab residuals. Just dont BUY a saab new at or close to list. Leasing wasnt an option because I live in Illinois where tax on leases never works out well for private individuals.
