Wasn't even thinking about lemon law...but warranty just covers the cost, not the inconvenience or aggravation. Dealer is 24 miles away. Every visit involves a 2 hour wait, minimum, even with an appointment.
Been driving since about '59 and have owned about 25 vehicles, only 2 of which were Japanese. Lots of American cars, a few VW's, a couple Volvos. So far, the only car I have had that has been in the shop more often than this Saab was my '56 Ford.
Before buying this car I checked Consumer Reports (although their methodology leaves a lot to be desired), JD Powers & MSN's website. All said the 9-5 was now good. But with out experience so far, we certainly can't trust it to go across the country as we ahd planned, so we'll take the more reliable '97 Ford Ranger. Even with 90K, I can trust it more than the Saab & I can get it fixed anywhere without waiting a week for a part every time.
