I noticed the same thing as I was just about to buy a new Aero with the BBS wheel pkg. I took it back and bought a Gary Fisher edition with the base engine and 225/45 17 Pilots. Here's what I think the difference is. The Gary Fisher has an OEM Saab wheel. 7 x 17 with a backspacing (ET) of 49 mm. I think the BBS 2pc wheel is more like 7.5 or 8 by 17 with an ET of maybe 35. The combo of wider wheel stretching the width of the tire out a bit and different, more aggressive offset makes it wander. My car with the same tires does not wander at all. On the vibration, my previous Audi had the same problem and I must have balanced the wheels 3 or 4 times. Finally, I took it to a Discount tire that had a brand new (I don't recall the actual term) active, loaded balancing system. Instead of just spinning the tire/wheel, they put load on it like it was going down the road. It works! Not all Discount stores have it so call around.
