Cracked Windshield

Hi folks,
I have not posted in a while, but some of your experience/advise might help on this one. Some moron passed me a couple of weeks ago on a two lane road and kicked up a large stone that hit the windshield behind the rearview mirror. (I say moron because it was in a 65MPH zone, I was doing almost 75, and he had to be going in excess of 90. We were approaching a slight curve, and a no passing zone had just started. The stone was there because it was a part of the road that is rarely crossed over. So, I digress, but had to say that.)
Anyway, my '02 Aero now has a crack that horizontally spans the whole upper part of the windshield. It will need to be replaced, but I'm concerned. As I've got the touring package, will it be easy to detach and reattach the rain sensor? Are there any structural issues I should be aware of? I'm even concerned about the lttle clip in the lower left part of the windshield that holds permits or whatever. Has anyone had this done? Thanks in advance.
