I'm sure it has a lot to do with your service department and the relationship you have with them. If you are demonstrating proper maintenance (more frequent oil changes/tranny flushes), everything I have heard about the upgrades says they will not cause a premature failure. How much of this is truth and how much of it is marketing, I'm not sure. I would have major problems if the dealer sold me a performance upgrade stating it would not void the warranty and then denied a claim based on the upgrade's extra power causing the failure. I was told (not by my dealer but by the venerable Dr. Boost) that the stage 1 chips can cause problems and should not be used without a higher flowing turbo inlet pipe (cobra pipe) and a higher flowing exhaust/cat/downpipe because of the increased temperatures and also the potential for exhaust to back up into the engine. I guess I am getting off topic at this point...
