I just put National "Ovation" All Seasons 215/55 R16 93H M+S on my MY99 9-5 Wagon, on the advice of my independent tire dealer. He has never given me bad advice, and they seem to be better than the V rated Michelin Energy MXV4`s they replaced (which had 74,000 km on them, and let me slide through two stops signs one morning!). Good ride quality, not noisy. You mentioned you had 17 inch rims though, and I am not sure if they have a tire size for you. All taxes in, balanced, new valves, etc, a very fair $600 Canadian (hey, I am a longtime customer, and he owns the shop). Nationals are made in the USA, and may either be Yokohama or Kumho sourced, unfortunately I don`t have the brochure to confirm or deny this.
If you are reading this post and you are from Canada, please don`t be too hard on me - even though I live in Toronto, I have to work in the snowbelt by Lake Huron as well as everywhere in the province (as a vehicle accident reconstructionist), so my tires have to be safe and keep me on the road. I would bet that the Ovations would be fine in Chicago, even with all that extra power in your Aero Wagon.
