Okay, this is pretty funny. I don't know how long you've had your 9-5 wagon, but just "discovering" the Sport mode is a gift, like having a whole different car drop out of the sky into your lap- it's what sold me on the 9-5 on our test drive.
We pulled out of the lot (my wife and I- gratefully, at Princeton Sports Specialists they just xerox your driver's license and give you the keys.) and I thought the ride was wonderful and the acceleration, well, certainly adequate, like a BMW 528 or a V-6 Camry/Lexus. About 5 miles down the road I was still admiring the road feel and engineering when I discovered the "S" on the shifter and tried it out.....WHOA. The car morphed from a BMW 528 to a BMW 328, acceleration-wise.
I was sold. I really had not expected to like the 9-5 at all. I think they could do better with exterior styling. I am, however, now completely wowed by my new car: they've given me a loaner (9-5) until Friday when my black 9-5 will be ready and next week we're going to take it on a road trip to upstate New York. What fun....
