I have two Evenflo Comet Seats in the back of my wifes '99 9-5. I put my 110 lbs. mother between the two seats and she siad she was ok, but it was only a 30 minute ride for her.
The Evenflo Comit is one of the few child seats I would purchase for my kids. After spending more then a month evaluating seats, there are very few seats I feel are safe and easy to use. I like the Fully adjustable 5-Point harness system (that is easy to adjust when strapping in the kids, remember, the harness has to be tight) and the shell is lined with the same styrofoam that is used inside of motorcycle helmets. Other seats were just a hard plasic shell with little padding. Try buying one of those Plasitic JaZZ seat and riding in it for 200 miles. I'm so happy with the Comit, I have two in Grandma's car and two in my car (If you have every swapped seats between cars and strapped them in tight and correct, it's a half hour process. Remember, less then 25% of child seats are installed correctly). Well I have to go...Vic
