look at the honda accords. their ratings are sky high and they are cheaper. there are lots of cars out there that are very very very safe, and are also very very very reliable. of course everyone seems to have an accord anyways, but then again.. theres a very good reason everyone has an accord: price, performance, safety, reliability. maybe it doesnt have whiplash protection and all that, but at this point, im not so sure the whiplash system will even work when it comes time for it. its very sad when a company that prides itself on safety has seatbelt tensioners that fail. even sadder that they only have a 60,000 mile warranty on the belts. the ride and the comfort, alogn with peppy performance make the saab good, but the issues that come along iwth is (nice specs, poor reliability) keep this car from being anywhere near the "great" class
