Postings from those who have bought and installed this list only two minor concerns and LOTS of happy comments. The two concerns are:
1) Some PPC units do not load properly on first try. This may be operator error or a minor soft-ware glitch. Patience and an ability to do a new download from BSR's site (if required) should be a prerequisite to purchase.
2) You should re-install the original engine program any time you take the car to the Dealer. Since the performance program can only exist in one location at a time - car or PPC - if the Dealer does an ECU Update on your car whle the performance program is loaded, the performance program will be lost! You will then own two copies of Saab's regular program, one current and one past. You could probably do a new download at little or no cost to retrieve the performance program, but better safe than sorry.
I don't recall ever reading anything posted by someone who has experienced shortened engine/transmission life as result of installing an ECU upgrade. Purchase the correct package and tell the truth about any other engine modifications. Buying Stage III software without the other intake & exhaust modifications is a recipe for disaster per Nick at http://www.geniunesaab.com
