I (and my daughter) were 9-3 owners. I desperately wanted a wagon that drove like a sedan and did not look like a box. I studied and drove everything on the market. The 2001 9-5 is by FAR the best wagon you can get (especially at today's prices)...and once you are in it you will swear you are driving a sport sedan. (I picked up their Demo model with 3K miles and saved about $3K. Another advantage - the car (with power memory seats) is extremely comfortable regardless of physical size. Performance - set the speed alarm or you will get ticketed. I installed the automatic dimming mirror which I strongly recommend. As always, buy or lease the car from a dealer with a good reputation...even if you pay a few dollars more. My Saab dealer is great and when I needed items taken care of on my prior Saab they made the experience a pleasure rather then a cause for concern. Don't think it to death...just get it and enjoy!
