I just transferred our V-1 from our 9000 to our new 2004 9-5 Aero. On the Aero I hard wired the V-1 into the fuse panel ran the wires up the A pillar and under the headliner and mounted the V-1 unit in front of the rear view mirror; this does a nice job of keeping the unit high enough up to optimize its sensitivity, while also keeping it somewhat hidden from view, particularly from the side windows ("good afternoon officer"). Then also mounted Valentine's remote display directly on the dashboard at about the 4 o'clock position on the steering wheel; can see the remote unit between the spokes of the steering wheel, and, again, mounting location makes it somewhat difficult to spot from the side of the vehicle.
Been using V-1 for ten years and love it!
