My colleague is out of town and I am driving her '99 SE V6 with 85k miles and the car has not been taken care of...serviced but no TLC. My 2001 SE V6 only has 56k miles and has been babied in every aspect.
I find that hers drives better in numerous ways...
-suspension feels tighter-car handles bumps hell of a lot smoother.
-no stumbling/stalling cold startups
-smoother auto tranny
-feels quicker than mine, even in normal accelerating conditions like traffic.
-seems to get better gas mileage (can't say this for sure)
Only downfalls are a little more road noise (tire differences), annoying "test brake light" message upon start up, and the blinkers in this car stay on for freakin ever...they cancel when the wheel is completely straight whereas mine cancel a good bit before.
Her 1999 has been in the shop ONLY for normal maintenance, my 2001 on the otherhand has been in the shop for maintenance AND 14 other occasions for warranty repair.
WHAT GIVES HERE!?
Thx.
buddy
