The automatic transmission 9-5s seem to be a lot harder on their brakes, sometimes both the pads and rotors are shot by 20K miles.
On my '02 9-5 Aero (manual) I believe I will get more than twice that for pad life, and the rotors look like they will be good for 2 sets of pads.
