Hey Alex, what he said. I guess at 45, I'll be hitting 'middle age' soon <ducking>.
When we go upstate we either take my '02 Aero (man.) or my wife's '01 9-3SE (auto.). For driving the back roads from Saugerties up, I'm not sure which is more fun. They both provide so much power and control that really brings out the skill of driving...equally.
But when it comes time to partake in more familial things, packing up Granmma and Grandpa, and the baby, and the wife, and travelling in MATURE style, the Aero is it. That's the edge as I see it.
If you need to play both roles; sober, mature, responsible (boring) AND nose to the windshield, windows wide open, hand on the stick and foot thru the floor, then you need an Aero.
Otherwise, stay with the 9-3.
And keep the left lane clear.
C.
