We have two tether hooks mounted behind the rear seat, in the middle and right outboard positions. These were installed by the dealer on behalf of the previous owner - I am trying to find a third tether hook for the left outboard position, because the Britax seats are rather big.
The LATCH anchors underneath the rear seats are beside the anti-submarining notches in the more recent models I have inspected. They are likely bolted to the frame, so my question was whether or not the spot in the frame they used in later MY is available for making the attachment in MY99.
Although mounting to the seat belts is okay, I would rather have a direct to frame attachment in combination with the tether hooks -- for the front facing seats when we turn them around next spring.
Until then, we have the boys in the rear-facing position, and will be using the seatbelts alone since we don`t have LATCH hooks under the rear seats.
Cheers,
CrNiFE
