Randy,
You're numbers sound reasonable to me and as far as I know thats how it _should_ work. If your dealer has a fleet person they may be more open to this approach. If they are a real fleet person they should tell you up front exactly what is going to be acceptable to the dealership and Saab Leasing -- none of the 'give me your credit card so my manager knows you're serious' stuff.
I would suspect that since the Saab Leasing deals are so good that the dealership may not be as eager to deal as they would be in quiter times. Never hurts to work a couple dealers either. If there isn't a choice in your area you might try calling around the country. You might save enough to cover the cost of airfare (purchase round trip and fly one way) and the drive home. Sort of a domestic version of the European delivery program (which isn't a bad deal either!).
One other bit of advice -- make sure you drive and price both the base and Aero -- in both 5 speed and auto flavors so you are educated on ALL the options before you commit. My sales person gave us a new auto base wagon to drive for a weekend and offered an Aero 5 speed to test but I never drove or priced the Aero. We're tickled with our car but I'll always wonder.......(!)
Good Luck, I know you will enjoy your 9-5 as much as we enjoy ours.
Jack
