I have a 2000 9-5 (45 kmiles) with the same CEL issue: the CEL would come on occasionally (apparently more frequently in the summer, when the tank is about 1/2 full). The next day, the CEL would go off within a few minutes. I took it to the dealer a few times, twice with the light on for them to read the codes, they replaced a few things (DI, etc) but the light keeps coming on. Now, in November, it came on only once (1/4 tank of gas). Thus, it looks to me that the only correlation I can come up with is with the amount of gas in the tank.

I also had that starting issue (with less than 1/4 tank of gas), but they replaced a valve and that fixed it
