Marc,
congratulations on your new purchase. I'm sure you will enjoy this car immensely.
First, you should plan on changing the timing belt. Since you are past 60K, it is doubtful SAAB will replace it for you at no cost. I had mine done at 59.8K. The dealer was very adamant that the vehicle mileage be less than 60K.
In my experience, 62K is ok for these belts. If you assume a mileage of + or - 10%, you are probably ok. However, the recommended interval is 60K so beware. Also, of greater concern is the timing belt tensioner pulley.
Here is a link (http://thesaabsite.com/95/95enginetimingcomponents) to one of the sponser that has a picture of the timing belt components. There are some special tools required to change the belt. The kit is approx $300 from Snap-On. It holds the crankshaft, but more importantly, locks all four valve cam shafts and stops them from rotating. Note it is very important these shafts not rotate with the belt removed.
When changing the belt, have the tensioner pulley changed, whether it is bad. Mine was done for free, but the tensioner failed 13K miles later. The tensioner is approx $250. Many on this board have had this tensioner fail resulting is destruction of the engine at a cost of $3K-$4K. It is what is term a "interference", i.e. the valves will interfer with the pistons if not timed properly.
You should also switch to synthetic oil. Opinions vary as to the mileage you should complete oil changes
I'm not sure where the Tranny drain plug is located.
good luck
