Nah...wasn't in my case. I had already shut the doors and locked them through the remote. I however still had the trunk open and was getting my gear ready for a mtn bike ride. So sure enough, my mind was in left field on this particular day when I decided to shut the trunk before I realized my back-pack was still in there, which of course had the key, along with my cell phone still inside!
Not a big deal of course if your close to home or near another phone, but I was in the middle of a state forest alone with my dog, at least 2 miles away from the nearest residence and it was getting colder!
I got lucky when a local just happenned to be driving through..
On another note, I did have a mustang once which I could get to lock itself on me. If I purposely slammed the door closed, it would trigger something in the door lock mechensim which would lock the car. So, I guess some cars can actually lock themselves...Of course in my case, I think it was more the quality of the vehicle that was the culprit..
