As glad as I am that I was able to get the ECU upgrade from Saab, it does seem strange/unfair for them to introduce this upgrade *only* for MY2000 vehicles. 1999 was a *long* model-year in the US--beginning in early '98 (May?) and extending through late '99--so I have to think that there are a *lot* of 1999 2.3t's on the road compared to 2000's. Especially since the V6 was unavailable in the US for so long. How much harder can it be to upgrade a '99?
