Yeah, I know what you mean. I refused delivery of a 9-5 because of a 8/00 mfg. date. When we took the car for quick test drive, the car "dieseled", i.e. kept running for a second or two after the ingnition was turned off. On a fuel injection car??? No way!!!
I can't think of anything extra to check at the 30 day service. Keep in mind that all of the rubber parts (wiper blades, weatherstripping) and battery have had an extra year of exposure and you can expect their service life to be reduced accordingly.
Cars are shipped with this wax paper looking stuff on them so your paint probably has not had as much exposure.
Fuel that has sat in the car for a long time and can somtimes turn to varnish. If the car is running OK for you (unlike my test drive), then you probably don't have a problem.
Since you leased, you will be getting out of the car at a predetermined time so the ageing is less of an issue. Enjoy your car!
