No need to in the V6 engine Posted by SWEDECAR [Email] (#112) [Profile/Gallery] (more from SWEDECAR) on Thu, 13 Jan 2005 20:19:44 In Reply to: Are 6 cyl engines in need of retorque?, adl6009 [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 13 Jan 2005 17:51:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
They are properly assembled from factory (God bless GM design) Disclaimer: That is meant both as sarcasm and a joke.
The V6 head bolts are of a different design and steel quality and are torqued "to hell and back" in my eyes.
It's quite amazing when you tighten those V6 bolts that they can withstand such a massive force without breaking and then you have to put on the sizzy gloves when bolting down a 4 cyl head so that you don't break the bolts by looking to hard on them.
