The IDS program is set that you are purchasing the car directly from Saab in Sweden. If it is done here in the US, then any of the lease/retail support programs do not apply to this purchase. The price of the car is much lower than the US retail price, sometimes even after you deduct the incentives.
So getting the same lease as you would if you drove the car off the dealer's lot would not apply. Getting the car financed can be a little tricky. Banks get nervous if the car can't be easily repo'd when the customer does not make the payments. So overall leasing is probably not a viable option.
Saab USA usually kicks in some money to offset your flight over and back. The price of the car includes transportation back to your hometown dealer. If you pick the car up in Trollhatten there is no extra fee and Saab picks up a hotel for a night and dinner. You then get a tour of the factory and take delivery of your car at the Saab Museum.
There are additional fees if you pick-up or drop off at other sites through out Europe. Your Saab dealer can explain it (hopefully thoroughly).
