Silicone is not recommended for applications were it will be in constant contact with fuel or engine oils.
That said, I find that silicone tubing lasts longer on my PCV system that the recommended oil resistant rubber tubing. The silicon tubing begins to show signs of swelling after 2-3 years but it doesn't take long to put a new piece in.
