with a driveway at least that long, but much steeper. Three cars in the family at that point were my '99 9-5 2.3LPT, '00 9-5 SE Wagon (V-6), and '99 BMW M coupe (RWD). We put snow tires on all our cars (the 9-5's were running 15" steel wheels...ugly, but worked). We never once got stuck in our driveway with the snow tires. I'd imagine your Z71 Suburban goes up the drive better, not only because of the 4WD, but also because of the tires that are on it (compared w/ your Passat). Have you thought about snow tires? They really do make a huge difference. Hope this helps.
