I adjust mine against a brick wall so that I cam keep them even (my liquor store wall is perfect). You can get them close that way and then drive it to see how they look. Get the low beam along the edge of the road properly and then the high beam will fall into place. Adjust them on high beam, however. Chilton's Saab manual give a detailed description of how to measure and adjust them, also.
