I've seen the hard vacuum line hose in about the same diameter in some of the parts stores. Sorry I do not know the OD or ID of the fuel line off hand. The OD is about 10mm but that's a guess. Using the nipple from the old line will still be a bear to force into the line because of the ridges, but it gives me an idea. Find a smooth piece of metal tubing that will fit into the fuel line to use as a support and then use hose clamps. Don't worry about 80 psi...the tubing is so small that the actual force is easily contained with a hose clamp.
