If i were you and you live in a climate that is as cold as Albany, NY, don't put in Amsoil 20W50 gear oil. The oil is too thick and gummy when the engine is cold, so you wind up with horrible shifts at start up. The tranny will grind going into each gear, until the engine warms up. After then, the gears are as smooth as silk shifting. So, don't do what I did as far as installing the heavier grade of oil (as townsend imports suggest), but try a lighter Amsoil gear oil for the winter. I suppose it only serves right, considering that townsend imports is located in a moderately cold state (i.e. North Carolina).
Just a little advice to all.
