Ok, to recap:
High boost. A "Pop", then, as I coast to the curb (fortunatly in front of my house, my baby died. It has not started since.
What I have done:
1. Varified spark from coil (but not at spark plugs, thats next).
2. Checked for vac leaks, none found. (I will check again).
3. Varified fuel at injectors.
4. Tested for voltage at ignition Control unit. OK.
5. Tested for voltage at the injectors: no voltage with ignition on. (key on).
6. Checked for voltage fluctuation at injector while cranking: voltage present and within specified limits.
7. Hall sensor checked out OK.
8. Checked ECU (pass. side footwell): No voltage anywhere, good fuses.
9. The tach does not move while the engine is cranked.
So, I appear to have a bad connection to the ECU. It got dark before I could look for any bad connection. I have heard that this is common, thus does anyone know where the most likely suspect connection will be?
Still, I have questions: if there is no power to the ECU, will the check engine light come on? My light comes on for a split second, just as it always has.
My intuition is that there is an air leak. I can only do minor work during the week, however I have Friday off. Then the saga will continue.
Thanks for all of your responses. This board is the best!!!! A great community.
