I'm trying to troubleshoot a problem I have had for a couple of years. Both selector switches do not turn the blower fan on (I know that the fan will only come on with the selector switch on other than the zero position). I have by passed the switches with a toggle switch to turn the blower fan on. Yesterday I started trobleshooting the problem to fix it. Here is what I have found. I am getting 12 to 13 volts on the yellow wire to the 1,2,3 switch. I'm also getting 12 to 13 volts on the grey wire that connects to the blower motor (this wire connects to the + connection on the blower motor (with voltage coming to the blower motor, the blower motor will not work). The fan only works when I use the toggle switch connected directly to the battery. Is it possible the blower motor will only run with direct connection to the battery and not the two switchs they susposed to run on. I'm thinking that I may have a bad blower motor. How can I make sure the blower motor is bad before I spend money on a replacement? All the wire connections are correct to the switches are correct. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.
