Aggravated by cold weather and aging wheels. could also be water/condensation between the bead and the rim, turns into ice and expands, leaks a little air. Remarkable how may people develop this a few months after new tires installed. About the only cure is to demount the tire and thoroughly clean/smooth the bead mounting area. Sometimes the wheel has to be sanded/resealed/repainted to get an adequate sealing area.
Also, in extremely cold weather the tire can stiffen up so much and even turn on the wheel or leak when the car moves...one winter at -40F we had an air-out on a rear wheel on the volvo. Put on the spare and drove very carefully to a service station where they remounted the now warm wheel/tire and couldn't find anything wrong with it. Hasn't had any problems for another 5 years and at least one new tire since.
Could also have bad tire valves.....
