There's not a cold idle like there is on carburated cars, where the auto choke kicks the idle up 200 or 300 rpm till it kicks it back down to normal idle. The fuel management system keeps the idle in the normal range, but keeps the mixture rich, while the engine warms up. It's a much more civilized way of doing things.
It has been cold here in Atlanta, by Georgia standards. (gotta say that, as a northern transplant :-)
