otherwise known as compressor bypass valve.
There's a heavy duty plastic 20psi version that's used on the 9K Saabs that fits on the 900T, at least on my 87 900T 16V. It's still a bosch bit. brass valve vice plastic valve. See SPG9 or one of the other sponsors or even your dealer.
There are also race-quality piston-type valves, one made by Bailey (TM) for about $160 that are reportedly bulletproof. Prob not necessary on your 8V
