There must be at least 5-10 different Todd's who frequent this board. I'm thinking I'm going to come with some nickname for myself but...
Anyway, I have a '94 turbo conv. also an auto and the owners manual specifies 10W-30 in the final drive. If you have the owners manual, check and see what that says. Or check out Townsend imports site's technical pages. I seem to remember that all final drives came with gear lube until '93 and '94 convertibles. I think.
I changed mine last weekend and used the motor oil. I hope that none of the previous owners switched to gear lube at any time. The stuff that was in there was so dirty I could not tell what it was so...I stuck with what the manual states. I'll probabley drain it and fill it again in 500 miles or so, just to be sure I got out all of what ever was in there before.
