go to the townsend site, there are specific instructions for testing the amm.
check your car for vacum leaks poped off hoses. is your throtle body clean & your fuel filter in good shape?
what other symptoms do you have? idle surge cold? is the problem there cold? hot? more info would help me & other techs help you.
when you disconect the amm. the enjine management goes into limp home mode & runs crappy. usually on the rich side which might make up for slow responce time from the O2 sensor or false air. if I were you I might try to find a good saabtech to diagnose the problem if you dont get good results this way.
good luck
