My 88t would not start, just died. It ended up being the Hall sensor. I did all of the fault tracing, and one curious issue was that the ECU was not putting out any power. It was odd, but the ECU was (and is) good. Also, the ecu can loose power due to coroded wiring. Look on the passenger side engine compartment. Examine the wiring leading to the ecu. Is it dried out and fragile? If so, this may be your problem.
