other noises normaly made by the trans. Normal noises include clutch bearing whine (sometimes), pullies, alternator, belts, etc. It is a cacaphony of odd noises. My Saabs don't make noise from the trans., although there is noise when I decelerate in gear, but that could be from the engine. If your pinion whines, you will know it. I think you can feel it in the stick.
