Clunking noise Posted by Todd [Email] (#958) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Todd) on Sun, 28 Jan 2001 02:39:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
When I go over a bump or series of bumps there is a loose clunking noise that I can hear and feel in my feet. I think it is coming from the front end components somewhere. I just replaced the upper and lower shock mounts but I haven't got any deeper into the search than that. i'm meaning to get under there tomorrow to have a look. What I'm wondering is where I should begin looking for this worn out item. Which is more likely to be worn out, the upper or lower ball joint, or should I be looking somewhere else? Steerin assy? Any info that can save me some time is greatly appreciated (I've spent way too much time working on this car already). By the way the car has 108000km with no front end work done that I'm aware of. TIA
