My daughter in her '90 900S was lightly hit on the left rear (of the car) this morning on the way home from church to celebrate her 28th birthday -- by an old guy running a red light, with a Richmond, VA policeman as a witness. The left rear tire seems to have absorbed most of the force of the Ford Crown Vic's bumper, so the body damage is minimal, but the wheel is now clearly and visibly out of alignment. She will want to get it repaired asap, but I thought I would ask here whether or not SAAB's official policy is that these axles can be straightened or do they need to be replaced as a unit anytime they're bent? Besides official policy, I would appreciate any real experience. Everything inside the trunk and hatch area seems to be straight as ever, and it didn't even break the taillight lens; is there any other unusual place where I should look for damage???
