Let me start by saying that I'm not really interested in "profiting' from this; more to the point, I'd like to spread the cost in time and involvment amongst other qualified members.
There's been enough discussion of Carlson, Airflow, SPG kits on this board over the last few months that we all know what hen's teeth these things are. And usually when you do find one it's cracked or abused, missing parts, sometimes just plain unusable.
Here's the proposition part.
If it can be proven that there is sufficient interest in a particular kit or kits; I am willing to invest of my time to get them reproduced.
I would want to work with people who are well versed in either the plastics or fiberglass industries, only.
We would need first to find out what the TRUE demand for the product is, and then determine which direction to head in terms of production.
If you have an interest in purchasing a particular kit; email me with your needs, and what your opinion of a reasonable cost might be. Don't tell me what you think they might cost; tell me what you would be willing to write a check for. There is a difference.
If you think you are qualified to assist in production, email me and lets discuss the possibilities.
In the past, I reproduced parts for GM cars, and my "schtik??" was that they were PERFECT. No ifs or mabeys. Perfect, or they went in the trash.
That's all I am interested in; and it causes people to speak much better of you and your work in the long run. I know that sound anal; but if this is to be done by Me, then it's to be done right and with the involvement of the proper people, or not at all. The only alternative is to end up with a lot of crappy, ill-fitting parts that no longer hold the interest of those willing to purchase them in the first place.
All those willing to either assist or purchase, let me know.
If there's sufficient interest, we can most likely keep the costs down to make these assesable to even the most frugal of enthusiasts.
Thanks, and lets just see where this goes
Keith
