I'm no expert, but this is what happened to me.
- I had a constant clunking (clunk clunk clunk etc.) when I turned and I was driving. that turned out to be the C.V. joint. It also turned out to be very easy to replace but make sure to get the right part because I know that some earlier C.V. joints were just enough different to cause your wheel bearing to go out about every four months. In fact those guys at the chev/ford junk yard that say they can order one used for about fifty dollars can't be trusted. Trust me on that one I replaced my bearing four times before somebody finally hit me in the head with a ratchet and told me what was really going on.
-next. when I would turn my wheel weather I was moving or not it would make one solid clunk and no more. That turned out to be my tie rod end. It looked perfect from the outside but once I got it off it was as loose as some of those girls that you get asking for rides in your saab here in idaho (we are a strange breed those of us that aren't rig kind of guys round these parts)
I hope this helps you out.
