Hi,
Red APC's are part of higher performance packages. If you can tell me what the nine digit number is on the box, I can tell you the hp. As others have indicated, there was a different distributor used also. Either get that out of the 9000 or buy SPG's AID. Don't forget to change the FPR also. The one in the 9000 again is probably the correct one (3.0)
Opinions differ on which intercooler is better. Many believe the all aluminum has better ability to cool air under high boost. I don't know, but, I have an 89 SPG and use the stock plastic one. I sold an aluminum one I obtained rather than replacing what I had.
Dash cracks... have some small ones, but, don't know any magic for fixing or preventing. I am going to try JC Whitneys dash repair kit, because I have nothing to lose.
Headliner... I don't like tacks. I tried regluing back without taking shell out. Used 3m spray. Didn't hold well at all. Decided to do it right. Took out shell, and cleaned thoroughly before having upholstery shop install new material. It looks great! Better than new because I love the lighter gray material I used. So..I would say use tacks if you don't mind them, or take it out entirely and do it right.
good luck,
John
