Fuel cut off at high speeds?

Hi,
I have a saab '88 900T. At speeds above 45 or so, when I fully acellerate (pedal to the metal), there sometimes is a sudden jerk like the fuel is being cut off to the engine. I was just wondering if this is normal. I replaced my FPR to 2.8 bar and the problem still persists. I would appreciate any info. Thanks
-Omar
