Jack,
I have tried to use a mityvac to bleed a clutch before with very little
success. the tool does work very well when you use it to pressurize the
reservoir, however. I got a reservoir cap from a 240 Volvo at a junkyard
for 2 bucks, drilled a small 3/16? or so hole in the top of it. set the
MITYVAC up with the hose to blow air out and stuck one of those black
needle adapter things in the res cap. then squeeze trigger only once or twice and
open bleed nipple. Repeat procedure a couple of times. i've also used a Turkey baster on the
res cap with the same results. the mityvac is nice because you can
get closer to the nipple and not have to stretch as far.
Cheers
Robc
